The costs involved with Quarter
Midget Racing are very little when compared to other forms of racing. The
basic start up costs will vary depending on whether you buy new or used
cars and equipment. I will suggest when looking at safety equipment you
buy brand new in order to make sure it meets all of the safety
regulations. |

cars-
$ 1500.00 to $7,000.00 (used to new)

Trailers-
$200.00 to $5000.0 Enclosed trailers are recommended so you do
not have to worry about weather.

Helmet-
$250.00 to $400.00 There are many manufacturers out there that
make great helmets, just make sure it is SA90 or newer or SFi 24.1 youth
spec hemet.

Driving suits-
$200.00 to $400.00 Custom suits will cost more, QMA rules stat
that you need a 2 layer suit

Gloves-
usually around $40.00 verify that they are SFI 3.2A5 approved or
greater
|

Arm restraints-
usually around $40.00 they have buckle and velcro wraps, depending on your
prefferance
|

Neck brace-
usually about $30.00 2 types horseshoe or oval needs to
be SFI 3.2A-5 or higher rating

Pit cart-
$200.00 to $400.00 basic pit carts work fine, custom
ones are available for more money. |

This is the basic cost to get into racing, many things
can change these prices but the bottom line to get into the sport is
bewtween $3,000 and $5,500 dollars

Once you
get started and are racing every weekend the basic cost per week will go
from $20.00 to $200.00 depending on if you are buying new tires. and the
basic pit fees for your track. You will not have to buy tires every
weekend, that will depend on your budget ability. |
